Privacy Policy
How Inside Peptides handles website visits, analytics, search queries, contact messages, and newsletter signup requests, including how to stop email updates.
Google Analytics is present on this site. Contact-form messages are submitted through this website and sent to our editorial mailbox; operational details that have not been confirmed are identified below.
Scope and privacy contact
This notice covers the Inside Peptides website and messages sent to its editorial contact address. It describes the website features currently implemented, including Google Analytics, our website contact form, and the newsletter signup form.
For privacy questions or requests about information you have shared, email contact@insidepeptides.org. Please use the subject “Privacy request” and share only the information needed to explain your request.
Information associated with website visits
The website, its form handlers, and our editorial mailbox are hosted by Hostinger. When you request a page or asset, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. Hosting or security services may maintain logs for operation, troubleshooting, and protection against misuse.
We have not confirmed the hosting provider’s precise logging fields or retention period for this notice. We therefore do not claim that every IP address is truncated or that all logs are deleted within a fixed number of days.
Fonts and site illustrations are served from this website. The current interface does not offer user accounts or a medical-record upload service.
Google Analytics and cookies
The website includes Google Analytics 4 through Google’s gtag.js script. It is used to measure website activity, such as page visits and interactions, and may process page URLs, referring pages, browser and device details, and cookie identifiers.
Visitors whose device time zone is in Europe (the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) are asked first: Google Analytics does not load until they choose Accept in the cookie banner. Elsewhere, Google Analytics loads on page visits, and anyone can turn it off with the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. As a safeguard, Google’s consent settings also deny analytics cookies by default for visits Google locates in those European countries.
Google Analytics can set first-party cookies, including _ga and property-specific _ga_* cookies. Exact lifetimes and collection options depend on configuration. Google describes its default cookie behavior in its cookie documentation and data handling in its data safeguards documentation.
Analytics account settings, including retention, advertising features, and data sharing, have not been independently confirmed for this notice. This page does not claim that browsing is anonymous or free of third-party measurement.
Site search and browsing choices
Site search uses a URL query parameter, for example /search/?q=peptide. A submitted query can appear in your browser history, the requested URL seen by the hosting infrastructure, and page URLs collected by analytics. Avoid entering names, medical histories, or other sensitive information into search.
Use “Cookie Settings” in the site footer to accept or refuse Analytics; “Essential only” also deletes existing Analytics cookies for this site. You can also use browser settings to block or delete cookies and browser privacy tools to restrict analytics requests. Deleting cookies alone does not record a refusal, so outside Europe the Google script can load again unless you choose “Essential only”. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.
If you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under ip-theme so the next page opens in the same theme. It holds only the word “light” or “dark”. Your cookie choice is saved the same way under ip-consent. Neither value is sent to us, and both can be removed by clearing site data. The custom site code does not store search history or contact-form values in local storage. This does not describe storage created by Google Analytics or your browser itself.
Messages you choose to send
The contact form asks for your name, reply email, topic, subject, and message. Selecting “Submit message” sends these details to a form handler on this website. The hosting server validates the submission and sends it to our editorial notification mailbox. You do not need to open an email application to use the form.
Our hosting, email delivery and receiving mailbox services process the submission and email. Resend processes email delivery when configured; otherwise the website uses the hosting provider’s SMTP service. The form handler does not save a separate copy of your message in a website database. Spam prevention uses submission timestamps and hashed network addresses in server-side rate counters; old counter entries are removed when the handler processes subsequent requests. A website confirmation means the server accepted the email for sending, not that inbox delivery has been independently verified.
When email delivery through Resend is configured, the website also sends an automatic confirmation to the reply address you entered. It does not repeat your message and does not subscribe you to the newsletter. To avoid sending duplicate confirmations for the same submission on the same day, the server keeps a private record containing a one-way hash of the submission and the time the confirmation was sent; it does not contain your name, address, or message.
If you send a message, we receive its contents, sender details, and associated email metadata. That information is used to respond to your inquiry, investigate a correction, or handle a privacy request. Do not send medical records, identity documents, payment details, or other sensitive personal information through this form.
Newsletter signup requests
The newsletter signup form asks for your email address. By selecting “Subscribe,” you request email updates about peptide research, evidence updates, regulatory notices, and our publications. We use the address you provide to handle this request and contact you about these updates.
The form sends your email address and the submission time to our editorial notification mailbox through our hosting server. The notification records that the request came from the signup form; it does not verify ownership of the submitted address. On signup, the website sends a welcome email to the address submitted and a signup notification to our team. A website confirmation means the welcome email was accepted for sending, not that inbox delivery has been independently verified. Repeated signups do not trigger another welcome email after a successful send.
The form does not enroll addresses into a campaign platform. Subscribed addresses are kept in a private subscriber list on our hosting account, outside the public website, together with the signup time and whether the address later unsubscribed. Every welcome email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Signup notifications are handled in the editorial mailbox. Private welcome receipts store a hash of the email address and send timestamps so we can prevent duplicate welcomes; the receipts do not contain the submitted address. Our hosting and email services, including Resend when configured for email delivery, process these requests. Server-side spam counters use timestamps and hashed network addresses, without storing the submitted email address.
To withdraw your signup request, stop receiving updates, or request removal of your signup information, email contact@insidepeptides.org from the address you submitted and tell us which request you would like us to handle. You can also reply to the welcome email, or email notifications@insidepeptides.org with the subject “Unsubscribe from Inside Peptides”, as the welcome email explains. Our contact form works too. Signup notifications are subject to the retention and security practices described below.
Providers, external links, and processing locations
The providers currently involved are Hostinger (website hosting, form handling, and mailbox), Google (Analytics), and Resend (email delivery, when configured). Each processes information associated with its function. Depending on the provider and its infrastructure, that processing may take place outside your country. Provider-specific processing locations and transfer arrangements have not been confirmed for this notice.
Links to journals, regulators, trial registries, or video platforms take you to separate websites. Opening those links is subject to the destination’s privacy and cookie practices. An external video link is not the same as a video embedded and loaded on this page.
For Google’s own privacy practices, see Google’s Privacy Policy. This notice does not make an unverified claim about selling data, advertising-account settings, or provider-level sharing.
Retention and security
We have not confirmed fixed retention periods for hosting logs, analytics records, or editorial email correspondence. Relevant factors include the purpose of the record, whether an inquiry remains open, operational and security needs, provider settings, and any applicable record-keeping obligations. Contact us to ask about information you have shared.
No website or email system can guarantee absolute confidentiality or security. Avoid sending sensitive information and use your own email account’s security controls.
Privacy requests and policy changes
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. These rights can have exceptions.
Email contact@insidepeptides.org with your request. We may need proportionate information to establish that it relates to you. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
This notice describes the website’s current implementation; it is not a certification of compliance with every privacy law. The operator’s legal identity and country, provider transfer arrangements, lawful-basis assessment, and exact retention settings remain to be confirmed. We will update this page when those details or website practices change. The date above records the latest content revision.
